Intellectual Property Expert – Saudi Arabia

About the role

EVA pharma is seeking a passionate Intellectual Property Expert to support its generic pharmaceutical portfolio in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on safeguarding IP assets, assessing freedom‑to‑operate, and guiding product development decisions to ensure regulatory compliance and market success.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough FTO analyses and patent landscape reviews for potential generic product candidates prior to development and launch.
• Identify, assess, and quantify IP risks associated with New Drug Applications (NDAs) and Saudi Food & Drug Authority (SFDA) submissions.
• Provide clear, actionable, risk‑weighted recommendations to Portfolio Management, R&D, and Business Development teams.
• Draft formal FTO opinions and manage documentation to support business decisions.
• Develop strategies to challenge weak or invalid patents through opposition procedures.
• Ensure all KSA product registrations are complete from an IP perspective for regulatory submissions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy; a law degree or specialized qualification in Intellectual Property law is highly preferred.
• Minimum 3‑5 years of direct experience in an IP role, preferably within the generic pharmaceutical industry.
