Internal Auditor (Riyadh)

About the role

Saudi Gold Refinery is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to provide independent assurance on internal controls, risk management, and governance processes. Reporting directly to the CEO, the auditor will safeguard assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the company’s strategic objectives aligned with Vision 2030.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular operational audits and vault inspections to verify compliance with SOPs and safety regulations.
• Perform surprise inventory counts and reconcile precious‑metal stock with system records.
• Review adherence to Saudi labor, tax, and environmental regulations using data from Qiwa, Mudad and other platforms.
• Lead fraud investigations, prepare evidence‑based reports, and present findings to senior management.
• Assess financial processes such as procurement, accounts payable, and treasury for proper authorization and segregation of duties.
• Prepare audit reports, track remediation actions, and maintain the corporate risk register.
• Coordinate external audits by regulators and certification bodies, providing required documentation.
• Advise management on control design for new projects, systems, or process changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Engineering.
• Minimum six years of internal audit experience in industrial, mining, or manufacturing sectors.
• Professional certification (CIA, CPA, ACCA, or CISA) – mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of COSO, ISO standards, and Saudi regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Arabic preferred.

Required skills

• Data analytics and ERP systems for audit testing.
• Physical inventory audit techniques for high‑value commodities.
• Data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Understanding of internal control frameworks (COSO, ISO).
