Investment Specialist – Riyadh

About the role

The Investment Specialist will support Orbit Startups’ Middle East initiatives by driving program management, deal execution, portfolio analysis, and data collection. You will work closely with founders, partners, and investors to enhance founder readiness and ecosystem collaboration across Saudi Arabia.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive due diligence on prospective investments, including market research, data gathering, and company analysis.
• Support new deal signing, manage follow‑up timelines, and maintain regular communication with the Orbit team on portfolio updates.
• Analyze portfolio performance using financial metrics and key business indicators.
• Collaborate with founders to build financial models, identify unsustainable practices, and project future outcomes.
• Onboard founders, maintain accurate startup data, and draft program communications such as newsletters and status updates.
• Organize program logistics, including calendar scheduling, venue setup, A/V coordination, and catering.
• Collect and report program and portfolio data for internal tracking systems.
• Schedule sourcing meetings, take detailed notes, follow up with leads, and help drive the investment pipeline to completion.
• Maintain and grow Orbit’s investor network, lead ecosystem engagement events, and act as a brand ambassador in the MENA startup ecosystem.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with proven analytical and research capabilities.
• Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Highly proactive, resourceful, and able to self‑manage in ambiguous environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and build meaningful relationships with founders, partners, and investors.
