IT Infrastructure and Systems Design Expert

About the role

The IT Infrastructure and Systems Design Expert leads the development and optimisation of ZATCA's IT infrastructure and system designs. Working autonomously with minor direction, the role provides expert guidance on RFP creation, change request assessment, and performance monitoring against KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor latest technology trends, gather business and technical requirements, and develop detailed infrastructure and system designs that address identified gaps.
• Lead requirement‑gathering sessions, draft RFPs for IT infrastructure and systems, and collaborate with relevant functions to evaluate and select vendors.
• Analyse and prioritise change requests, recommend implementation schedules, and coordinate with stakeholders to execute changes.
• Conduct IT risk assessments for new technologies and work with planning teams to create mitigation plans.
• Review periodic performance reports against KPIs, analyse results, and propose improvements to enhance infrastructure reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with policies, processes, and SOPs while supporting junior staff and escalating complex issues as needed.
• Train and mentor junior team members, provide clear direction, delegate tasks, and monitor workflow to maintain high‑quality delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, systems design, and project delivery.
• Demonstrated competencies in IT compliance, infrastructure management, project and vendor management, change management, and systems management.
