IT Manager

About the role

The IT Manager provides first‑ and second‑level technical support for designated Marriott properties, ensuring that all technology systems operate smoothly and securely. This role balances day‑to‑day troubleshooting with strategic budgeting and compliance responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist IT leadership in preparing CAPEX and operating budgets for property technology projects.
• Ensure property technology assets comply with Marriott International Policies and Information Security Manuals.
• Order, receive, and inventory hardware such as PCs, telecommunications equipment, and local servers.
• Maintain accurate records of applications and hardware, and produce reports as needed.
• Provide end‑user support, including desktop imaging, software installation, patch deployment, and data migration.
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and guest/associate internet access requirements.
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT resources and manage vendor contracts.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with 2‑4 years of IT experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field with 2 years of experience.
• Preferred professional certifications related to systems administration.

Required skills

• Desktop support and hardware troubleshooting.
• Software installation, imaging, and patch management.
• Network configuration and basic telecommunications knowledge.
• Experience with backup procedures and data migration.
• Understanding of information security practices such as encryption.
