Kitchen and Laundry Technician

About the role

Mansard Riyadh, a Radisson Collection Hotel, is hiring a Kitchen and Laundry Technician as part of its Engineering team. You will keep kitchen and laundry equipment running reliably through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and timely repairs, supporting the Culinary, Housekeeping and Laundry teams in delivering good guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on kitchen and laundry equipment, including ovens, fryers, dishwashers, refrigeration units and extraction systems, as well as washing machines, dryers and ironing machines.
• Inspect equipment regularly to spot faults, leaks or abnormal performance before they cause problems.
• Repair electrical and gas-operated equipment in line with safety standards and manufacturer recommendations.
• Monitor refrigeration systems, walk-in chillers, freezers and cold rooms for temperature control.
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests from Culinary, Housekeeping, Laundry and other departments to minimise downtime.
• Maintain maintenance records, repair logs and spare parts inventory, and assist with installing, testing and commissioning new equipment.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialised work, keep tools and workshop areas tidy, and support food safety and hygiene standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Kitchen, Laundry or Engineering Technician in a hospitality or hotel setting.
• Hands-on experience with commercial kitchen and laundry equipment, including gas and electrical systems.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, holidays and on-call duties.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and basic repairs.
• Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of HACCP, food safety and hygiene standards.
• Familiarity with major kitchen and laundry equipment brands; basic welding and minor fabrication is an advantage.
