Lead Design Engineer

About the role

Yokogawa is seeking a Lead Design Engineer to head the design and integration of control system panels within its Panel Engineering Department. You will ensure that all panels meet internal standards, customer specifications, and project requirements while driving innovation and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Validate control system panel designs, wiring diagrams, and GA/IA layout drawings.
• Support the drafting team in component selection for reliability and cost optimisation.
• Lead panel engineering activities across multiple projects, monitoring progress and resolving design or manufacturing issues.
• Supervise integration contractors and assembly teams, coordinating with project managers, procurement, logistics, QA/QC, and production.
• Control and track panel material inventory, collaborating with stores to optimise stock usage.
• Work with vendors on quality issues and provide technical support for procurement decisions.
• Guide subcontractors on panel assembly, ensuring quality, timeline adherence, and efficient labour use.
