Transmission Engineer – Asset Management

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated Electrical Engineer with deep expertise in asset management, maintenance, reliability, testing and commissioning, and quality control to support the planning, operation, and optimisation of Saudi Arabia’s transmission network. The role works across Asset Management, Commissioning Services and Quality Control, aligning with ISO 55001 and national energy strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement Asset Management Plans for substations, overhead lines, underground cables and related infrastructure.
• Recommend refurbishment, replacement or maintenance strategies based on condition assessments and health‑index calculations.
• Prepare long‑term criticality assessments and drive actions for highly critical assets.
• Analyse maintenance and failure data to improve reliability and optimise preventive, predictive and corrective programmes.
• Support testing and commissioning activities, including relay setting verification.
• Evaluate and enhance Quality Control systems and project execution standards.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 55001, national regulations and international best practices.
• Monitor KPIs, prepare technical reports, risk assessments and investment justifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred) with at least 10 years of experience in asset management, maintenance, reliability, system design, CAPEX planning, testing & commissioning and quality control.
• Strong knowledge of high‑voltage equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers and protection systems.
• Practical experience with ISO 55001 Asset Management systems and reliability engineering methods (RCM, FMEA, failure data analysis).
• Excellent English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
• Proactive, independent, team‑oriented and able to work in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.
