Logistics Specialist – Oil & Gas Field Engineering

About the role

The Logistics Specialist will manage end‑to‑end movement of goods for an oil & gas field engineering facility in the Eastern Province. The role ensures efficient, cost‑effective, and compliant transportation of domestic and international shipments while supporting internal teams and external carriers.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily logistics operations, track shipments and take ownership of delivery performance.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring compliance with Incoterms and customs regulations.
• Negotiate and manage carrier contracts, rates, and service agreements.
• Plan and execute air, sea, and land transportation, including special cargo such as out‑of‑gauge, high‑value, or time‑sensitive items.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and streamline logistics processes for speed, accuracy, and visibility.
• Monitor KPIs (transit time, on‑time delivery, freight spend) and provide regular performance reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding and logistics, preferably in the oil & gas sector.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Familiarity with customs operations, shipping documentation, and inventory handling.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with a sense of ownership and accountability.

Required skills

• Oracle logistics software.
• Microsoft Office suite – Excel and PowerPoint for tracking and reporting.
