Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure the reliability, safety and operational readiness of Salehiya’s commercial vehicle fleet, which includes both light and heavy‑duty units. The role involves performing diagnostics, repairs and preventive maintenance in line with company standards and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair commercial fleet vehicles.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance according to schedules, covering brakes, suspension, drivetrain and electrical systems.
• Record all maintenance activities, repairs and spare‑part usage in the CMMS/ERP system.
• Coordinate with supervisors and spare‑parts teams to ensure timely completion of work and respond to vehicle breakdowns to minimise downtime.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or vocational certification in Diesel Mechanics or Automotive Technology.
• 3–5 years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance of commercial vehicles.
• Valid driving licence; a heavy‑vehicle licence is an advantage.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of vehicle electrical systems.
• Understanding of suspension and drivetrain systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools used in commercial vehicle maintenance.
