Material Management Specialist

About the role

The Material Management Specialist will work closely with Operations & Maintenance teams to manage spare parts inventory and consumables, ensuring optimal balance between plant costs and equipment availability. The role involves day‑to‑day support of warehouse activities, BOM management and SAP transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) in SAP, including data entry and storage locations.
• Determine appropriate spare‑part levels for operational readiness and manage zone store set‑up.
• Provide warehouse support during plant commissioning, turnarounds and scheduled outages.
• Maintain accurate inventory control, optimize stock levels and manage inbound/outbound shipments.
• Ensure compliance with EH&S standards, supervise contractors and arrange emergency transport with vendors.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of warehouse and inventory management experience.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a technical discipline.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic (reading and writing).
• Strong organizational, planning and communication skills.

Required skills

• SAP (ERP system) proficiency.
• Microsoft Office suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Forklift operation (valid driver’s license preferred).
