Media Asset Management & Archivist

About the role

Join MBC GROUP as a Media Asset Management & Archivist, responsible for overseeing the ingest, cataloguing, and preservation of digital media assets across the broadcasting workflow. You will work closely with production, editorial, marketing, and legal teams to ensure seamless access and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage file‑based ingest processes (hard drives, FTP, SD cards, camera cards).
• Organise, catalogue and maintain assets in the MAM system, enforcing metadata standards and naming conventions.
• Oversee archival workflows and migrate legacy media to digital formats.
• Support content search, retrieval and secure distribution for internal departments.
• Perform quality control before distribution and maintain editing workstations, metadata databases and post‑production servers.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and report irregularities to Broadcast IT engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in media, information management, computer engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in media asset management and archival work within a broadcasting environment.
• Strong attention to detail, proactive mindset and excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.

Required skills

• Experience with NLE systems such as Adobe Premiere and Avid Media Composer.
• Proficiency in AVID Media Central and Media Central Platform.
• Strong knowledge of MAM systems (e.g., Avid, Dalet) and digital media workflows.
• Familiarity with video formats, codecs and production management tools.
