Medical Advisor – Rare Diseases (Hematology)

About the role

AstraZeneca is seeking a Medical Advisor to lead scientific and executional activities for rare disease hematology in Saudi Arabia. The role bridges strategy and field action, supporting early diagnosis, evidence generation, and patient access across the Kingdom.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the Medical Affairs Plan in line with the therapeutic area (TA) Medical Lead and cross‑functional brand teams.
• Conduct scientific exchange with healthcare professionals and decision‑makers to promote appropriate use of AstraZeneca’s rare disease medicines.
• Drive disease‑specific education, diagnostic initiatives, and patient identification projects.
• Generate and communicate medical evidence and insights to inform business and medical strategy.
• Collaborate with centers of excellence, cross‑functional partners, and external stakeholders while upholding scientific integrity and patient focus.

Required profile

• Strong therapeutic knowledge in rare diseases and hematology.
• Demonstrated scientific acumen and experience in medical affairs or related fields.
• Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable field activities.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with HCPs and multidisciplinary teams.
