MH-60R Avionics Technician (AT) - Jubail, Saudi Arabia

About the role

Amentum is hiring an MH-60/H-60 Avionics Technician in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The position covers planned maintenance interval inspections (PMI) and organizational, intermediate and depot-level maintenance on H-60 helicopters, including troubleshooting, testing, inspection and repair of aircraft radios, radar, navigation equipment and other rapid communication devices. Extensive knowledge of wire and connector repair is required.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair major assemblies, subassemblies and wire and connector replacements on the MH-60R and related systems
• Perform inspection, troubleshooting, fault detection, fault isolation and corrective action on electrical and utility systems
• Operate and maintain ground support equipment and use common, special and precision tools for power plant maintenance
• Complete maintenance documentation, forms, records and reports, including the NAMP
• Provide on-the-job training (OJT) for Saudi technicians and other personnel and keep training records

Required profile

• 8 years of current or previous experience performing complex helicopter electrical work, including installation, testing, troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, alignment, modification, final test calibration and solving maintenance problems in navigation, radar, electronic countermeasures, GPS and armament systems
• Ability to solve flight-related problems that cannot be duplicated on the ground, with a thorough understanding of flight characteristics and their effect on electronic systems
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; US citizenship is required for a Secret clearance
• Must pass a background check and drug test; drug-free workplace with post-offer, pre-employment testing
• Physical demands: walking and standing on level and inclined surfaces, climbing stairs, ramps, ladders and work stands, lifting 50 pounds, distinguishing colors and judging depth

Required skills

• Use of test equipment such as voltmeters, signal generators, oscilloscopes, deviation meters and frequency measuring devices
• Reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams and technical directives
• Working with miniaturized solid-state circuits and devices
• Knowledge of digital/analog computers, algebra and trigonometry
• Preferred: Navy aviation avionics (AE MH-60R HSM HSC), AN/AQS-22 sonobuoy processing, AN/APS-153(V) multi-mode radar, open-architecture mission computer
