Neonatology Consultant

About the role

Dallah Hospital in Riyadh is looking for an experienced Neonatology Consultant to join its multidisciplinary team. The consultant will deliver evidence‑based care to newborns, including premature and critically ill infants, and will play a key role in maintaining high standards of patient outcomes within the NICU.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consultant‑level assessment, treatment planning and ongoing management for premature, high‑risk and critically ill neonates.
• Lead the response to neonatal emergencies and complex medical conditions in the NICU.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, physicians and other healthcare professionals, offering expert advice and support.
• Participate in daily NICU rounds, clinical meetings and multidisciplinary case discussions.
• Ensure accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans and clinical outcomes.
• Promote evidence‑based clinical practices, patient safety standards and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Teach, train and mentor residents, fellows and other staff members.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD/MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Board certification or recognized postgraduate qualification in Neonatology.
• Valid registration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
• Proven experience as a Neonatology Consultant, preferably in a hospital or NICU setting.
• Strong clinical decision‑making abilities and excellent communication skills.

• Advanced knowledge of neonatal intensive care practices.
