Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician

About the role

The Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician will join Satec Arabia’s IT services team in Ras Al Khair, supporting a strategic migration from a temporary data centre to a permanent infrastructure. The role combines real‑time monitoring, incident resolution and on‑site field work to ensure continuous network and system health for high‑profile clients.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor network, server and system performance using NOC tools and respond to alarms.
• Perform root‑cause analysis, log incidents and either resolve or escalate them according to SLA.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot networking hardware such as switches, access points, IP phones and CCTV/Face ID equipment.
• Conduct field visits for equipment deployment, structured cabling, labeling and hardware rack‑up (up to 20 kg).
• Provide end‑user support for wireless and LAN connectivity issues and coordinate with broader IT support teams.
• Maintain documentation of configurations, change records and internal SOPs, ensuring compliance with IT policies and industry standards.

Required profile

• Minimum C1 level English proficiency.
• Technical degree or diploma in Networking, IT or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a NOC or IT support environment.
• Hands‑on experience with Huawei network devices and familiarity with Cisco technologies.
• Ability to work rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays, and perform physical lifting of equipment.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and LAN/WAN technologies.
• Configuration and fault diagnosis on Huawei devices via CLI.
• Use of monitoring platforms such as NNMi or NA.
• Experience with ITSM tools like SMAX.
• Understanding of firewall IP blocking, structured cabling standards and equipment labeling.
