NOC Engineer – Network Monitoring

About the role

We are seeking a NOC Engineer specialized in network monitoring to ensure 24/7 surveillance of our server, OS and storage infrastructure. The role focuses on proactive detection, capacity analysis and rapid resolution of incidents to maintain high availability in a high‑availability environment.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor Windows and Linux servers, operating system performance and storage systems (NAS/SAN).
• Use monitoring tools such as PRTG and SolarWinds to track health, resource consumption and availability.
• Detect and analyse performance anomalies, capacity bottlenecks and hardware faults.
• Investigate and resolve OS‑level issues including process failures, memory leaks and disk‑space alerts.
• Coordinate with storage teams to monitor I/O metrics, replication health and overall NAS/SAN performance.
• Provide complete, documented shift handovers with up‑to‑date system status and open incidents.
• Escalate unresolved critical issues to the Project Manager with full diagnostic context.
• Maintain detailed incident records and contribute to root‑cause analysis documentation.
• Support patch monitoring and scheduled maintenance windows for server infrastructure.

Required profile

• Mandatory MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) certification.
• RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) certification is required.
• Proven experience monitoring Windows and Linux environments.
• Familiarity with storage technologies such as NAS and SAN.
• Ability to work in a shift‑based, 24/7 operations centre.
