PACU Registered Nurse

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated PACU Registered Nurse to deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia. The role involves comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs, and symptom monitoring.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, monitor for side effects, and provide wound care.
• Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals during medical procedures and diagnostic tests.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and preventive measures.
• Observe, document, and report changes in patient status; respond to emergencies and perform purposeful rounding.
• Adhere to strict infection control standards, participate in surveillance, and maintain cleanliness of patient areas per Fakeeh Care policies.
• Maintain accurate patient records, communicate effectively with the care team, and provide emotional support and advocacy for patients.
• Supervise junior staff and nursing students, offering guidance and mentorship.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse credential.
• Ability to work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Commitment to delivering patient‑centered care and continuous professional education.
• Capability to provide emotional support and advocate for patients’ rights.
• Experience supervising junior staff or nursing students.
