Procurement Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Procurement Engineer to lead purchasing strategies for medium‑voltage cabinet components in a Saudi Arabian electrical power equipment manufacturing environment. The role focuses on developing local supplier relationships, controlling costs, and ensuring timely delivery of critical materials.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and execute procurement strategies for medium‑voltage cabinet components.
• Identify, qualify, and develop local Saudi suppliers, conducting audits and negotiating prices and contract terms.
• Perform cost analysis, monitor purchasing expenses, and implement supply‑chain optimisation measures.
• Coordinate with technical, quality, and production teams to align delivery schedules with project needs.
• Ensure purchased products meet Saudi and Middle‑Eastern standards for quality and compliance.
• Manage procurement of general office supplies and miscellaneous production materials.

Required profile

• Saudi nationality (mandatory).
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related STEM field.
• Fluent in English and Arabic for business communication.
• Minimum of 1 year of procurement experience in Saudi Arabia within electrical power equipment or mechanical components.
• Familiarity with local suppliers of sheet metal, copper busbars, and secondary components.
