Product Development Manager – Perfume Retail Sector

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Product Development Manager to lead the creation of new perfume products from concept to launch. You will oversee fragrance composition, sample development, naming, packaging, sourcing, and market positioning, ensuring each product aligns with our brand and commercial strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all product development activities in line with strategic direction and market needs.
• Manage new product and sample creation based on customer preferences, trends, and business requirements.
• Oversee fragrance composition, ensuring quality, creativity, and relevance.
• Monitor international standards and industry trends to drive continuous innovation.
• Supervise product naming, presentation concepts, and display methods.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support positioning and pricing decisions.
• Recommend competitive pricing strategies and evaluate commercial performance of launched products.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
• Lead and mentor the product development team, fostering innovation and collaboration.
• Prepare regular progress reports and present proposals to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Chemistry or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in product development, innovation or category development.
• Experience in perfumes, fragrances, cosmetics, luxury goods or consumer products.
• Strong understanding of development cycles, market trends, customer preferences and commercial performance.
• Excellent leadership, analytical and communication skills.
