Production Engineer Supervisor – Thermoforming

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily thermoforming production, ensuring machines, manpower, raw materials, moulds and tooling are ready according to schedule.
• Monitor production output, cycle time, OEE and take corrective actions to meet targets.
• Oversee thermoforming machine parameters (temperature, pressure, vacuum, cooling) and guarantee correct material and mould usage.
• Coordinate with Planning, Warehouse, Quality, Maintenance and other departments for smooth operations and shift handovers.
• Lead machine changeovers, mould changes, trial runs and start‑up activities, troubleshooting any process issues.
• Ensure product quality by checking dimensions, weight, thickness and appearance, and work with QA/QC to resolve defects.
• Track scrap, material consumption and support waste‑reduction initiatives.
• Maintain safety standards, enforce PPE, LOTO, housekeeping and report unsafe conditions.
• Prepare daily production reports and follow up on corrective actions with the Production Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Production Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in plastic manufacturing, including at least 3 years directly in thermoforming.
• Proven track record supervising thermoforming machines, mould changes and production teams.
• Experience with PVC, PP, PET or ABS thermoforming materials is preferred.
