Program Manager

About the role

The Program Manager plans, directs, controls and monitors the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) and support program to ensure satisfactory completion of program objectives. The role oversees multi‑disciplinary engineering analysis and supports design, development, implementation, operation and maintenance of diverse systems.

Key responsibilities

• Manages the program to ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations, including cost, quality and schedule targets while maintaining company profit motives.
• Acts as the primary point‑of‑contact between government personnel and Amentum management for the assigned contract.
• Coordinates and approves local operating and personnel actions, policies and procedures within corporate guidelines.
• Plans and procures staffing to achieve work‑completion milestones and deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (Master's preferred); ability to substitute experience for education.
• At least ten years of experience in a related technical environment and five years in a managerial role.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance, a valid driver’s license, and Safe‑for‑Flight (SFF) certification.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with H‑60 maintenance platform.
• Safe‑for‑Flight (SFF) certification.
