Project Director – Major Construction Projects

About the role

MOBCO Construction is seeking a highly experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of major construction developments in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have 25+ years of experience in civil engineering or architecture, with a proven track record in mega and giga projects such as shopping malls, luxury hotels and high‑rise towers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall execution of major construction projects from inception to handover.
• Direct project teams, consultants, subcontractors and site management.
• Ensure delivery within approved schedules, budgets, quality and HSE standards.
• Oversee planning, design coordination, procurement, construction, finishing, commissioning and close‑out.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, project risks, resources and project controls.
• Provide strategic leadership and technical guidance throughout project execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 25 years of proven construction industry experience.
• Mandatory experience in mega or giga projects, preferably in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong project delivery experience in malls, luxury hotels, high‑rise buildings or similarly complex developments.
• Proven experience managing large multidisciplinary teams and fast‑track schedules.
• Deep knowledge of construction methodologies, contracts, project controls and commercial management.
• Familiarity with Saudi building regulations and international construction standards.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage.
• Arabic language skills are an added advantage.
