Project Engineer Electrical

About the role

A Project Engineer Electrical leads and delivers complex electrical projects, covering the design, review, coordination and execution of electrical systems for building and infrastructure projects. The role ensures compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety requirements and project objectives, working closely with multidisciplinary teams. It suits someone with a proven track record of delivering critical electrical projects and a strong understanding of the full project life cycle, from feasibility studies to commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support during construction, including reviewing shop drawings, method statements and material submittals
• Conduct site inspections and progress reviews
• Follow up on the resolution of technical queries and RFIs
• Support testing, commissioning and handover activities
• Ensure electrical installations meet design intent, quality standards and safety requirements
• Direct and oversee the planning, coordination, execution, control and completion of projects in line with PDE&C strategies and objectives
• Lead teams and stakeholders during planning, carrying out constructability reviews to improve project viability, budget optimisation and value for the customer

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in building and infrastructure project management
• Proven experience in residential building electrical systems
• Facilitative leadership style, able to build high-performing teams and collaborate with external designers, engineers, customers and stakeholders
