Project Manager – Buildings Market

About the role

Mott MacDonald is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to lead the commercial and technical delivery of high‑profile building projects. You will manage the full project lifecycle, from bid development through execution, delivery and close‑out, ensuring compliance with the firm’s quality, safety and risk standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end project delivery, from kick‑off to completion, following Mott MacDonald’s governance frameworks.
• Establish and maintain robust systems for cost, schedule, scope, quality, risk and control management.
• Implement information and document management procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure health, safety and quality standards are met.
• Monitor progress against milestones and performance indicators, addressing risks and issues proactively.
• Prepare and deliver monthly client progress reports and presentations.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of bids and proposals, ensuring timely, high‑quality submissions.
• Mentor and coach team members, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance environment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline (Master’s degree advantageous).
• Proven experience managing complex construction or engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of project cost, schedule, scope and risk management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
