Project Manager – Civil & Track

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead railway civil and track construction projects. You will be responsible for delivering complex infrastructure works while ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the execution of railway civil and track construction projects from initiation through completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and execution strategies.
• Monitor progress, implement corrective actions, and ensure alignment with client requirements and contractual obligations.
• Manage all civil works activities, including earthworks, structures, drainage, foundations, and railway‑related infrastructure.
• Oversee track installation activities such as ballast, sleepers, rails, turnouts, and associated components.
• Coordinate interfaces between civil, track, signalling, telecommunications, and systems teams.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE policies.
• Monitor project costs, manage variations, claims, and contractual correspondence.
• Ensure works comply with quality plans, inspection requirements, testing, commissioning, and handover procedures.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors, providing mentorship and performance oversight.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale civil and track construction projects.
• Strong understanding of railway infrastructure, construction standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive project performance.
