Project Manager - EPC

About the role

Careers International is recruiting a Project Manager for EPC projects in the oil, gas and petrochemicals sector, based in Riyadh. The role covers projects worth up to $400 million, from detail engineering through procurement and construction to commissioning, start-up and warranty management. It also includes engineering management and packaged equipment engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Manage EPC projects over $100 million for major oil, gas and petrochemical clients, controlling budget, schedule and technical issues and acting as single point of contact for stakeholders
• Prepare weekly and monthly project reports, track project changes, maintain the risk register and submit monthly project valuations and invoices to the client
• Ensure non-conformances are closed and close out punch items, handover documentation and outstanding issues
• Manage engineering crews, select and train engineers, generate work schedules and integrate engineering with procurement, quality and construction
• Manage engineering subcontractors and coordinate engineering input with other project activities
• Plan manpower for mechanical engineering, review and approve equipment packages and prepare QCPs and feasibility studies
• Monitor construction of rotating and packaged equipment until commissioning

Required profile

• Experience managing large-scale industrial and commercial EPC projects up to $400 million in downstream oil and gas facilities
• Experience working in ARAMCO, MARAFIQ or equivalent companies, and in O&M, engineering and construction roles
• Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with ability to lead and motivate teams
• Ability to convey complex technical requirements and meet customer expectations and fiscal targets
