Public Relations Account Executive

About the role

In this role you will manage the flow of information between our clients and the public, promoting their brand through news items, press releases and product placements. You will work within a collaborative team to shape public opinion without paid advertising.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and media contacts.
• Assist the PR manager in developing promotion strategies and influencing public opinion.
• Daily liaison with clients and media via phone and email.
• Monitor newspapers, magazines, broadcasts, social media and blogs for media opportunities.
• Develop client proposals and implement PR activities as part of an account team.
• Prepare regular client reports and attend client meetings.
• Pitch news stories and features to media outlets.
• Collect, analyse and evaluate media coverage.
• Organise press conferences, promotional events and client events.
• Support the production of client publications and in‑house magazines.
• Commission market research and coordinate photography sessions.
• Research and present new business proposals to prospective clients.
• Keep clients informed about promotional schemes and media plans.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience working in a PR agency.
• Strong understanding of consumer behaviour and media landscapes.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively within an account team.
• Proactive attitude and strong organisational abilities.
