QAQC Engineer - Civil

About the role

The QAQC Engineer – Civil will ensure effective implementation of Project Quality Plans (PQP) on site, guaranteeing compliance with client requirements and minimizing re‑work. The role involves planning and conducting inspections, managing material approvals, and coordinating corrective actions to maintain high quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Study and apply approved PQP, ITP checklists, drawings, method statements, material/equipment approvals, and technical specifications.
• Conduct internal inspections before client/consultant visits and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Inspect material and equipment on receipt, raise Material Inspection Requests (MIR), and secure customer approvals.
• Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (RFI/IR) for various works, maintaining accurate inspection records.
• Supervise site activities to ensure use of approved drawings, materials, and correct work sequences.
• Coordinate with external laboratories for testing and reporting.
• Issue Non‑Conformance Reports (NCR) and follow up on corrective actions to close them promptly.
• Maintain traceable records of all inspections, tests, and deviations, and report to the QAQC head.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month experience in QA/QC for civil construction projects.
• Familiarity with PQP, ITP, and standard inspection procedures.
• Ability to work onsite and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
