Quality Engineer - Elevator Industry

About the role

KONE is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer in Jeddah to ensure quality requirements are met across the organization. The role drives continuous improvement through data analysis, inspections and testing, builds quality awareness through training and shares best practices, and supports the Quality Manager with the deployment of KONE's quality strategy, governance and goals.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritize quality performance improvement based on data analysis
• Use continuous improvement methodologies to investigate non-conformances, find root causes, define corrective actions and drive them to closure
• Create and analyse large datasets from multiple platforms and analyse trends
• Support the Quality Manager with target setting
• Perform in-process or product inspections and run tests, sampling methods and other procedures to validate requirements
• Maintain and update quality records required by quality procedures
• Share quality methodology and tools with colleagues so they can apply them to established procedures and standards
• Support the Quality Manager with internal and external audits
• Coordinate preventive and corrective actions of Quality Improvement teams in their area

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 4 to 5 years of experience in the elevators and escalators industry with a proven track record in a similar role
• ISO 9001 quality certificate recommended
• Professional certification such as Six Sigma, CQE or CQA

• Deep knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods and tools
• Database management and excellent computer skills
• Proficiency in testing, version control and defect management best practices
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
