Quality Engineer – Technical Quality Control

About the role

Responsible for comprehensive technical quality control to ensure that materials and site execution comply with approved specifications and engineering codes through the management of periodic inspection and testing activities. The role also serves as a quality‑control reference for issuing Non‑Conformance Reports and monitoring corrective actions through closure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the project Quality Management Plan in accordance with applicable international standards, contract requirements, and client requirements.
• Inspect all materials and equipment delivered to the site and verify their compliance with the contract and approved technical specifications before use.
• Implement and monitor Inspection and Test Plans at each stage of site execution.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify that workers and subcontractors follow approved Method Statements.
• Identify deviations, issue Non‑Conformance Reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
• Submit Inspection Requests (IR/WIR) to the consultant, accompany the consultant during inspections, and document all observations.
• Compile and archive test certificates and quality records for inclusion in the final project handover dossier.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) license.

Required skills

• Professional proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Primavera P6.
• Strong ability to analyse and interpret complex engineering drawings and identify discrepancies and clashes.
• In‑depth knowledge of the Saudi Building Code and relevant international standards, including ASTM, ASME, and IEEE.
• Ability to prepare accurate technical reports summarising project status, defects, and proposed solutions.
• Knowledge of quantity take‑offs, cost analysis, and field material testing.
• Relevant professional certifications such as PMP or ISO‑related qualifications.
