Quality Technician – Packaging Operations

About the role

The Quality Technician will support the development and maintenance of processes that ensure product quality throughout packaging operations. You will work closely with the Food Safety team, suppliers, and internal departments to uphold standards and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and standardise work instructions, test methods, product specifications and qualification plans.
• Support implementation of BRCGS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements and maintain related documentation.
• Perform internal audits, monitor CAPA actions and update hazard analysis and risk assessments.
• Review supplier performance, coordinate quality concerns and manage calibration of lab equipment.
• Conduct incoming material inspections, generate certificates of analysis and perform microbiological testing.
• Lead product inspections, record incidents, and drive root‑cause analysis.
• Participate in lean and Six Sigma projects to improve manufacturing capacity, productivity and cost efficiency.

Required profile

• Experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing or food‑packaging environment.
• Familiarity with BRCGS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and HACCP standards.
• Ability to conduct internal audits, manage CAPA processes and perform risk assessments.
• Strong analytical skills for data review, root‑cause analysis and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
