RAMS Lead - Rail Infrastructure

About the role

Egis Group is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented RAMS Lead to join its rail infrastructure team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This leadership role oversees the Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS) function for rail operations and projects, driving RAMS strategies that ensure system performance, regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of RAMS strategies and programs aligned with organizational objectives and industry standards.
• Oversee Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and other reliability assessments to identify risks and mitigation strategies.
• Manage RAMS data collection, analysis and reporting, and establish performance metrics, KPIs and dashboards.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and maintenance teams on maintenance strategies, spare parts optimization and asset lifecycle management.
• Ensure compliance with international rail safety standards such as ISO 26262, EN 50126 and EN 50129.
• Lead cross-functional teams, guide design reviews and system improvements, and mentor junior engineers.
• Deliver RAMS training and prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders and regulators.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in RAMS, reliability engineering or related fields in rail or transportation.
• Proven leadership of technical teams and cross-functional projects.
• Strong knowledge of rail systems, signaling, rolling stock and infrastructure.
• Excellent written and verbal English, with the ability to present to senior stakeholders.
• Preferred: experience with maintenance strategy and asset lifecycle management, familiarity with Saudi rail projects and regulations, and knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean or continuous improvement methods.
