Risk Management Expert

About the role

The Risk Management Expert will provide strategic advice and practical solutions to safeguard the Information Technology environment of a government organization. This role focuses on risk assessment, continuous security evaluation, and the development of robust incident response and awareness programs.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and assess risks to the IT environment and advise on mitigation strategies.
• Recommend and oversee continuous security assessments in line with the Technology Risk Management Framework.
• Participate in cybersecurity incident response activities.
• Monitor emerging security threats and coordinate implementation of mitigation measures.
• Review and enhance disaster response and business continuity plans, ensuring alignment with operational risk management.
• Ensure cybersecurity resilience requirements are integrated into the Business Continuity Plan.
• Identify and recommend improvements for information security controls.
• Protect information and technology assets from external cyber risks.
• Assess security awareness of system users and propose improvement plans.
• Develop and implement security awareness programs in collaboration with HR and communications departments.
• Ensure security awareness initiatives comply with relevant regulations and standards.
• Adhere to organizational policies and perform any additional tasks assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or a related field.
