Safety Engineer – Saudi National (Riyadh)

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Safety Engineer (Saudi National) to support the Cliff Stabilization Project in Riyadh. The role focuses on ensuring site safety, health, and environmental compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project or Program Manager in administering SH&E programs across the project.
• Audit project activities and worksites to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and provide guidance to eliminate or control SH&E risks.
• Prepare and submit written audit, inspection, and corrective action reports.
• Monitor work planning and execution to verify alignment with the Environmental, Safety, Health, and Risk Program (ESHARP).
• Implement occupational injury and incident reporting and management processes.
• Perform trend analysis on audit findings, inspection results, and incident reports, and prepare periodic analysis reports.
• Support new‑hire SH&E orientations and onboarding activities.
• Deliver regulatory and best‑practice SH&E training sessions.
• Create, maintain, and update SH&E training and compliance records.
• Participate in routine toolbox talks and safe work briefings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Typically 2+ years of experience in health, safety, and environmental roles within construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
• Working knowledge of federal and local SH&E regulations and reporting procedures.
• Familiarity with safety‑related national consensus standards (e.g., ANSI, NFPA).
