Safety Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Safety Officer to join Esnad Contracting’s team in Jeddah. The role focuses on implementing occupational health and safety requirements across construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Implement occupational health and safety requirements across the project site.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe conditions and practices.
• Monitor work activities to ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
• Follow up and close out safety observations and corrective actions.
• Participate in risk assessments and hazard identification activities.
• Ensure compliance with the Permit to Work (PTW) system.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions for the workforce.
• Promote a strong safety culture and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Safety Officer in construction or infrastructure projects.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA certification.
• Good knowledge of occupational health and safety standards and regulations.
• Experience in site inspections, risk assessments, and Permit to Work (PTW) system.
• Strong communication, reporting, and teamwork skills.
