Safety Specialist, Workplace Health & Safety

About the role

Amazon Thunder is looking for an experienced Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Specialist to join its warehouse team in Saudi Arabia. You will act as the site’s first‑aid provider, drive compliance with Amazon WHS policies, and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives to reduce ergonomic and conditional risks.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Operations Team to implement and monitor WHS policies and ensure compliance with local, regional and federal regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments, WHS audits, and incident trend analysis to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Develop and execute corrective action plans for identified deficiencies and track performance against WHS metrics.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of WHS professionals, creating leadership development plans and providing regular feedback.
• Coordinate the Amazon Global WHS Program at the site level, serving as the designated first‑aid provider.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in workplace health and safety, preferably in a warehouse or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of local, regional and federal safety regulations and ability to interpret Amazon WHS policies.
• Proven ability to influence cross‑functional teams, build trust, and drive change through data‑driven insights.
• Excellent communication skills and experience leading safety‑focused teams.
