Sales Officer – Logistics & Shipping

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Sales Officer to drive new business for our logistics and shipping services. You will generate leads, acquire clients, and help grow our market presence while meeting sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach potential clients needing logistics and shipping solutions.
• Promote and sell freight, transportation, warehousing, and logistics services.
• Generate leads through cold calling, visits, networking, referrals, and market research.
• Understand customer requirements and propose suitable service solutions.
• Prepare quotations, commercial proposals, and service agreements.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with prospects and existing clients.
• Convert sales opportunities into confirmed business and achieve sales targets.
• Build and maintain long‑term client relationships and ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with operations and customer service teams for smooth shipment handling.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and shipping rates.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, quotations, and sales activities.
• Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates.
• Follow up on outstanding payments with the finance department.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Previous sales experience, preferably in logistics, shipping, freight forwarding, transportation or courier.
• Strong ability to generate leads, acquire new clients and close deals.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Target‑oriented, able to work independently.
• Good command of English.
• Valid driving licence and access to a car are preferred.
