Scientific Editor – Medical Physics (Remote)

About the role

CACTUS is seeking a remote Scientific Editor specialized in Medical Physics to support researchers worldwide in preparing manuscripts for high‑impact journals. The role combines subject‑matter expertise with a keen eye for language to ensure scientific accuracy and clear communication.

Key responsibilities

• Review and edit research manuscripts to improve clarity, coherence, and readability while preserving authors’ intent.
• Verify that terminology, conventions, and scientific arguments are accurate and appropriate for the target audience.
• Enhance presentation of complex findings to increase publication readiness.
• Ensure final texts meet the highest academic writing standards and conform to journal‑specific guidelines.

Required profile

• PhD in Nuclear Medicine or Medical Physics (mandatory).
• Strong publication record with 5–10+ first‑author papers.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer.
• Ability to critically assess study design, methodology, statistics, and interpretation.
• Excellent written English and meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience in scientific editing or academic publishing is preferred.
