Senior Accountant

About the role

Florose is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its fast‑paced e‑commerce finance team in Jeddah. You will ensure the accuracy and integrity of all accounting operations, from daily transactions to month‑end close, while supporting key e‑commerce functions such as sales, payments, returns and inventory.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, GL entries, accruals, pre‑payments and fixed‑asset accounting.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing, analysing trial balances, P&L and balance‑sheet accounts.
• Prepare and review bank reconciliations, AR and AP balances, resolving discrepancies.
• Reconcile e‑commerce sales with ERP, payment gateways and bank collections, including refunds, chargebacks and fees.
• Handle courier and COD settlements, investigating any outstanding items.
• Oversee inventory accounting and COGS, reconciling system balances and investigating variances.
• Support preparation of monthly/annual financial statements, variance analysis and unusual transaction investigations.
• Ensure proper tax treatment, VAT, Zakat, ZATCA and e‑invoicing compliance.
• Prepare audit schedules, documentation and follow‑up on findings.
• Maintain internal controls, IFRS compliance and drive process automation and integration improvements.
• Review junior staff work and provide technical accounting guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a high‑volume e‑commerce environment.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Experience with payment‑gateway integration and reconciliation.
• Bank reconciliation and cash‑management expertise.
• Inventory accounting and COGS analysis.
• VAT, Zakat and ZATCA compliance knowledge.
• Solid understanding of IFRS and international accounting standards.
• Audit preparation and documentation skills.
