Senior Active Directory & Exchange Administrator

About the role

The Senior Active Directory & Exchange Administrator will lead the design, implementation, and day‑to‑day management of AD and Exchange services for a large‑scale enterprise environment in Saudi Arabia. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong security awareness, and the ability to drive migrations and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Active Directory, including object maintenance, security, backup, and restoration.
• Manage on‑premises Exchange Server and Microsoft 365 Exchange Online, covering mail flow, SMTP, monitoring, reporting, and migrations.
• Configure and maintain PKI/ADCS environments and ADFS infrastructure.
• Monitor health, performance, and availability of AD and Exchange services, applying patches and security updates.
• Utilize PowerShell and GUI tools for automation, troubleshooting, and reporting.
• Document system changes, ensure compliance, and support various access methods (POP, IMAP, OWA, MAPI, ActiveSync).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange, including 5+ years in large enterprise environments.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified, Azure Administrator, Exchange Online Support Engineer, Identity and Access Administrator, etc.

Required skills

• Microsoft Active Directory, Azure AD (Microsoft Entra ID), ADCS/PKI.
• Exchange Server (on‑prem) and Exchange Online, Office 365.
• Windows Server 2012‑2025, DNS, IIS, core internet protocols (TCP/UDP, HTTP, SMTP, FTP).
• Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM).
• PowerShell scripting and GUI administration tools.
• Basic SQL Server knowledge.
