Senior AI Engineer – Data & Infrastructure for Multimodal Models

About the role

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to lead the design and implementation of data and infrastructure pipelines that support large‑scale multimodal models. The role sits within Tether’s AI division, powering products that span stablecoins, data sharing, and blockchain‑based finance. You will work remotely with a global team to ensure data reliability, scalability, and reproducibility.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and build robust, scalable data pipelines for massive multimodal datasets.
• Implement experiment tracking and model versioning systems to streamline AI research workflows.
• Manage compute resources using SLURM and Kubernetes, optimizing job scheduling and resource utilization.
• Collaborate with data scientists and product engineers to integrate data infrastructure with downstream AI services.
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance across all pipelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months of professional experience in AI infrastructure or data engineering.
• Strong background in building and maintaining large‑scale data workflows.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
