Senior Civil Engineer – Transportation Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with a focus on transportation design to lead technical reviews of major road and highway projects across Saudi Arabia. The role combines multidisciplinary engineering expertise with quality assurance to ensure designs meet local and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical reviews of highway, roadway, interchange and related infrastructure designs.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary submissions covering transportation, drainage, structural, geotechnical, utilities and traffic engineering.
• Verify compliance with Saudi Highway Code, MOT standards, AASHTO and other relevant standards.
• Review design reports, drawings, calculations, specifications, BOQs and technical studies.
• Evaluate technical proposals, value‑engineering options and alternative design solutions.
• Support constructability assessments and design‑for‑construction reviews.
• Monitor consultant performance and ensure timely delivery of quality design outputs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s in Transportation Engineering preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in transportation and highway engineering.
• Proven experience on large‑scale infrastructure, highways, interchanges and bridges.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Highway Code and international design standards.
