Senior Director, Business Continuity & Crisis Management

About the role

The Senior Director of Business Continuity & Crisis Management will design, implement and continuously improve Kidana’s Business Continuity Management (BCM) system and crisis response capabilities. This leader ensures that critical functions, projects and assets remain resilient during disruptions and acts as the primary liaison with government bodies and regulators.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain an enterprise‑wide BCM framework.
• Conduct annual Business Impact Analyses (BIA) to identify critical functions, interdependencies and recovery priorities.
• Define and enforce Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) for all key processes.
• Create, test and update departmental Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and a Crisis Management Team (CMT) with clear authority and escalation protocols.
• Lead response to major incidents such as extreme weather, site accidents, cyber‑security breaches, supply‑chain disruptions and regulatory investigations.
• Maintain formal liaisons with Saudi regulatory agencies (GDCD, NCA, Saudi Red Crescent Authority, RERA, municipal emergency centers).
• Integrate continuity risk findings into the enterprise risk register and update BC&CM policies, procedures and standards.
• Design and execute tabletop exercises, simulation drills and full‑scale emergency rehearsals, and capture lessons learned.
• Provide strategic guidance to C‑suite executives, the Board’s Risk Committee and senior leadership committees.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management or related risk disciplines.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and mentor a BC&CM team.
• Strong relationships with Saudi regulatory and emergency authorities.
• Excellent communication skills for crisis communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Track record of embedding continuity practices into corporate governance.
