Senior Engineer - SAP Services

About the role

Elm is hiring a Senior Engineer (Job Code 650287, Grade I2) in its Corporate IT Operations department, within the SAP Services unit of Corporate Technology. The role supports the research, development and implementation of speech-based AI solutions, and contributes to building, evaluating and optimising speech processing models and applications.

Key responsibilities

• SAP environment support: administer and support SAP environments, monitor availability, stability and performance, and support day-to-day operation of SAP solutions and modules.
• Incident and problem resolution: analyse and resolve SAP incidents and service requests, investigate recurring issues and coordinate complex issues with technical teams and vendors.
• Changes and enhancements: assess and implement approved change requests, support configuration changes and validate implemented changes.
• Upgrades, patches and migration: coordinate upgrades, patches and migrations, perform technical validation and testing, and support transitions with minimal disruption.
• Integration and interfaces: develop and support interfaces between SAP and other enterprise systems, monitor performance and maintain technical documentation.
• Business and functional support: collaborate with functional teams, align SAP capabilities with business needs and provide technical input for improvements.
• Reporting and data integrity: support SAP reports and data requirements, monitor data integrity and investigate inconsistencies.
• Controls and documentation: maintain system documentation, configurations, user roles and authorisation records, manage SAP licenses and controls, and document technical activities.
• Technical reporting: prepare technical documentation, experiment results and research findings, and support technical presentations and reports.
• Compliance: follow departmental policies, safety, quality and environmental procedures, and information security practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in SAP systems, ERP support, system integration, application support or related technology areas.
• SAP professional certifications or relevant ERP certifications are an advantage.
