Senior Geotechnical Engineer (Site Supervision)

About the role

Egis is looking for an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer (Site Supervision) to join its organization in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role provides technical leadership and on-site supervision for geotechnical investigations, foundation design and ground improvement projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate geotechnical site investigations, including soil boring, sampling and in-situ testing
• Analyze soil and rock properties to assess foundation design requirements and ground stability
• Prepare geotechnical reports, recommendations and technical documentation for stakeholders
• Implement and monitor quality assurance and quality control procedures on site
• Manage site safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Work with project managers, structural engineers and contractors to resolve geotechnical challenges
• Inspect foundations and ground improvement work in the field
• Mentor junior engineering staff and site personnel
• Evaluate geotechnical data with industry-standard software and maintain project records

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering, with at least 5 years in site supervision and field operations
• Proven leadership experience supervising technical teams and site personnel
• Experience managing geotechnical investigations and site characterization programs
• Experience with construction site coordination and contractor management
• Familiarity with international and local building codes, particularly Saudi Arabian construction standards
• Excellent English, both written and spoken
• Preferred: experience on Middle East or Gulf projects, advanced geotechnical software and CAD skills, and foundation QA/verification testing experience
