Senior Government Account Manager – Sport & Tourism

About the role

As a Senior Government Account Manager focused on Sport & Tourism, you will drive Microsoft’s digital transformation agenda for public‑sector customers. You will build trusted relationships, align Microsoft solutions with customer priorities, and secure high‑volume sales that deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive account plans for multiple government accounts, ensuring alignment with Microsoft sales methodology.
• Lead cross‑functional virtual teams and coordinate with internal industry experts to identify new business opportunities and drive account growth.
• Engage senior customer executives, translate product features into business impact, and present compelling value‑proposition narratives.
• Identify upselling and cross‑selling opportunities, coordinate joint planning sessions, and track revenue and consumption targets.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the sport and tourism sector, competitive landscape, and emerging industry trends.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior account management or sales within the public sector.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to set priorities, allocate resources, and influence stakeholder decisions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing senior executives.
• Track record of delivering high‑volume sales and meeting forecasted outcomes.
