Senior Infrastructure and Database Architect

About the role

The Senior Infrastructure and Database Architect will lead the design, implementation and management of HCL TechBee’s core computing environment and data architecture. This position bridges hardware, cloud platforms and high‑performance data systems to create a scalable, secure and resilient ecosystem that supports business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Create high‑level blueprints for hybrid, on‑premise and cloud‑native infrastructures across AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Design and optimise relational (SQL) and non‑relational (NoSQL) database schemas, ensuring data integrity, high availability and efficient indexing.
• Manage cloud resources, implement cost‑optimisation strategies and oversee migrations from legacy systems.
• Standardise environment provisioning using Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible and CloudFormation.
• Develop and test comprehensive disaster‑recovery plans to achieve zero data loss and minimal downtime (RPO/RTO).
• Monitor system health, perform performance tuning and troubleshoot database, server and network bottlenecks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related engineering field (Master’s preferred).
• 7+ years of IT experience with at least 3 years in an architect or senior lead role.
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
