Senior Material Planner

About the role

The Senior Material Planner will lead Material Requirements Planning (MRP) for both direct and consumable materials, ensuring continuous availability to support production schedules and business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Execute MRP processes, converting production schedules and forecasts into material replenishment plans.
• Monitor material availability, address shortages, supply constraints, and inventory risks to prevent production disruptions.
• Review and adjust inventory policies, safety stock, reorder points, and planning calendars.
• Analyze inventory levels, supporting actions for slow‑moving, excess, and obsolete stock.
• Improve replenishment efficiency through inventory segmentation and cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Coordinate with suppliers on lead times, order fulfillment, and capacity constraints; track supplier OTIF performance.
• Monitor supply risks, market trends, and demand changes, supporting contingency planning.
• Maintain SAP planning master data and contribute to continuous improvement and digitalisation projects.
• Prepare planning dashboards and KPI reports covering material availability, days of supply, inventory turnover, slow‑moving stock, and supplier OTIF.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, operations management, business administration, logistics or a related field.
• 5–8 years of progressive experience in material, supply or inventory planning, with at least 3 years in FMCG, beverage, food manufacturing, packaging or process manufacturing.
• Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, IBF are preferred.
