Senior Medical Representative – R&I

About the role

AstraZeneca is seeking a Senior Medical Representative for the Research & Innovation (R&I) portfolio in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on influencing prescribing behavior, building strong relationships with healthcare professionals, and driving market share for designated products.

Key responsibilities

• Engage primary‑care healthcare professionals in discussions about approved indications, efficacy and safety of AstraZeneca products.
• Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop and execute a territory business plan that meets or exceeds sales and call‑execution targets.
• Drive sales performance, maintain accurate forecasts and manage assigned budgets.
• Gather and analyse market, demographic and competitive information for the territory.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations governing interactions with healthcare professionals and sample distribution.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months of experience in pharmaceutical sales or a related medical field.
• Strong medical knowledge of the therapeutic area covered.
• Proven ability to build relationships and influence prescribing decisions.
• Commitment to ethical standards and regulatory compliance.
